Neutrinos occur in huge numbers in nature, but we know very little about them. Recently, strong evidence that neutrinos have nonzero masses has been reported. It will be explained why this evidence is so compelling. Illustrative neutrino mass scenarios suggested by the existing data will be presented, and some of the implications of neutrino mass for physics and astrophysics will be explored. Desirable future experimental measurements will be described, highlighting the potential importance of the search for neutrinoless double beta decay.
