The most palpable evidence for the existence of physics beyond our current understanding of fundamental particle physics is the discovery, some twenty years ago, that the masses of the neutrinos are very tiny but not exactly zero. I will summarize our current understanding of neutrino masses, discuss the theoretical challenges associated to them, and explore some of the many ways we hope to learn more, experimentally and observationally, in the near future.
