The Functional Renormalization Group (FRG) method is a powerful non-perturbative tool to study phase transitions and critical phenomena in physical systems. As such it is frequently applied to the thermal properties of strong-interaction matter. In the context of relativistic heavy-ion collisions the modifications of hadron properties with temperature and density are of particular interest. Their description requires a real-time FRG treatment of two-point correlation functions. In this talk I present a new method for calculating the pertinent spectral functions, based on an analytic continuation of the corresponding Euclidean correlators. Results for the in-medium spectral functions of mesonic parity partners within the quark-meson model are discussed and prospects for the calculation for transport coefficients such as viscosities and conductivities are mentioned.
