This workshop was organized in response to the recent technical advance in Atom Trap Trace Analysis (ATTA), an analytical method for measuring isotopes 81Kr, 85Kr and 39Ar. The primary aim of the workshop was to discuss applications of ATTA to compelling scientific problems in the earth sciences. Topics discussed included the use of the noble gas radionuclides as tracers of groundwater, glaciers, oceans, as well as volcanic and geothermal processes.
